Thermomass - Building Insulation Systems

Environmentally Friendly, Energy Efficient Buildings

Buildings are a significant part of our natural environment. Owners now realize that responsible construction involves ensuring that each new design should make every attempt to reduce pollution and provide a healthy environment in which to work and live.

The THERMOMASS Building Insulation System, being insulated concrete sandwich panels, can make a substantial contribution toward the goal of a 'green building'.

When people think of the environment, they invariable think of forests, rivers, and other parts of the natural environment. They probably don't think of buildings.  Buildings, however, are a significant part of the environment. In fact, a large portion of our natural resources go toward constructing and sustaining homes, schools, and other facilities.

It is not surprising then, that the construction industry has experienced a renewed interest in environmentally friendly  and responsible building. Referred to as 'green building', emphasis has been placed on creating structures that enhance the lives of the people who work and live in them while lessening the impact they have on natural resources and environment.

The THERMOMASS Building Insulation System can help.

THERMOMASS walls are designed to perform above all energy efficiency standards currently in place and comply with Section J of the BCA. Massive wall systems like insulated sandwich panels delay the transfer of energy, helping to lower the peak energy use of buildings and shift power usage to off-peak times. This helps designers effectively create buildings that save energy from the very first day of operation.

THERMOMASS walls are also built to be durable and long-lasting. The components of a THERMOMASS insulated wall will not corrode or deteriorate over time, meaning your facility will not need to be replaced for many decades and probably much longer.

Additionally, the reinforced concrete used to manufacture the panels may contain recycled content, depending on local conditions and producers.

The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating SystemT is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Read more about how THERMOMASS can help designers and builders achieve LEED & BCA Section J standards.
