Pipe Insulation – COLEX and FLOREX

The COLEX and FLOREX system for insulating pipes is a superior, cost effective way to protect product and personnel. COLEX is a durable polyethylene covering for pipes. FLOREX is an insulated polyethylene cradle system for mounting pipes.

Colex - Pipe Insulation

The flexibility, durability and ease of installation of the COLEX/FLOREX system make it a superior choice for almost any commercial or industrial application for temperatures between -200°C and 100°C.

COLEX

COLEX is made from polyethylene and is suitable for a range of applications including:

  • Engineering Insulation : liquid nitrogen pipes and equipment, ammonia refrigeration systems, storage tanks, brine water.
  • Material pipes and refinery and petrochemical plant
  • Air condition Insulation : chilled water pipes, chillers, and air conditioner ducts.
  • Building Insulation : hot-water pipes and roofing
  • Noise Reduction: engine room and delivery pipes.

COLEX is durable, resisting moisture penetration, piercing and chemical degradation.

Florex - Pipe Insulation

FLOREX

FLOREX pipe cradles solve all of the problems associated with supporting low temperature pipe work whilst providing effective insulation for cryogenic, ammonia/freon and chilled water lines.

FLOREX pipe cradles out-perform timber and polyurethane blocks due to the inherent properties of the cross-linked, chemically bonded, closed cell polyethylene foam. FLOREX pipe cradles provide firm support while allowing the material to remain flexible to resist shocks and piercing.
With low thermal conductivity and high moisture absorption resistance, combined with the ability to be effectively bonded with virtually any other insulation material, FLOREX is a high-quality, highly versatile system of cradling for pipes.

Applications of FLOREX insulated pipe support cradles include:

  • chilled water lines
  • ammonia/freon lines
  • liquid natural gas pipelines
  • liquid nitrogen lines
  • cryogenic lines
