Ravenhall prison was the first large-scale project in Australia to utilise modular precast construction – a process by which the ceiling and four walls are poured as a single unit within a large 3D mold. Once cured, the finished unit resembles a lego block that can be easily stacked.

As the premiere method for insulating concrete sandwich panels in Australia, THERMOMASS was used to insulate all concrete sandwich panels for the Ravenhall development. All in all, over 10,000 square metres of THERMOMASS was used during construction
